This NYC engagement session with Sierra and Jonathan was such a blast. They both are very loving, caring for each other, easy going, adventurous and just a super fun couple to be around. Sierra and Jonathan went to middle school together, but did not reconnect until Covid started. They did distance for a little bit, but then Jonathan moved to NYC so they could be together! I am so happy to feature their engagement session in NYC.

Dreamy Locations in The Big Apple
Last October, Sierra and Jonathan flew me out to New York City to photograph them in one of their favorite cities. It was pretty warm and such a nice day to be exploring around the city. We had planned around a few locations in the city, but we just spent the full day exploring the city and finding new spots for their photographs. Every corner in NYC is so picturesque and is filled with so many people, it’s what makes New York amazing and gives it such a special vibrancy.
The MET Museum and Central Park
We began our adventure at the MET Museum and then walked about Central Park. It was such a surreal experiences taking photos in all the places I’ve always seen in the movies. Sierra and Jonathan are such a beautiful couple and we had an amazing time together. Our next stop was Bethesda Fountain and Bow Bridge. Then we went to iconic Hotel Plaza and we caught a yellow taxi, as every New Yorker does by raising your hand.
A Grand Central Station Moment
The fun taxi rushed us over to another historical and cinematic location Grand Central station. And ended up our session in 7/11 grabbing Sierra’s and Jonathan’s favorite drink, the iconic slurpee. Sierra’s mom helped us along the way and we ended up in Upper East side of New York for delicious New York pizza and craft cocktails.

This NYC engagement session was unforgettable experience and change of scenery from Florida palm trees and beach. They are getting married in The Basilica of The Immaculate Conception with a gorgeous reception in Ponte Vedra. It is in Sierra’s family and their tradition to get married in Basilica of The Immaculate Conception Downtown Jacksonville. Her mom and dad got married there, so it’s truly an intentional ceremony.
